Very Easy App to add. It's only right to point out that this does NOT work with Shopify POS as it says. But it works well from the dashboard.
Thank you for taking the time to share your review with us. As per our app description, Order Printer does not claim to support POS receipt customization at this time. With that being said, if you are on POS Pro then you can customize receipts by following this manual: https://bit.ly/3ZrJqLI. -Olivia, Shopify Support
It’s ok but could be a lot better. When an order is edited, so an item removed and another added the removed item is still shown with qty of 0. This looks poor. How can code be edited so deleted products aren’t shown at all?
嘿,那里。Thanks for taking the time to leave a review for Order Printer. We appreciate your feedback! We understand how this extra line item can be confusing and take up extra space on your slips. I'm going to go ahead and make the product team aware of this feedback so they can look into adding some easier settings to allow one to edit how this information appears. I also would suggest reaching out to our Shopify Community Forums (https://bit.ly/3E4zfU1) so you can ask this questions to other merchants and developers who have also encountered this issue. This is a great place to stop by any time you require some assistance with coding changes. Thanks again for your review! -Imogen, Shopify Support
We have been using this app since we started on shopify 7+ Years ago. It has been overall really great.
Recently (as others have described in reviews) it started being a coin flip of if it would completely crash every time we tried to print multiple orders (literally all its for...)
We spoke to support and they claimed "oh its just you" (reviews seem to show otherwise).
At their insistence we reinstalled the app. Which immediately deleted and lost all of our templates. Every other 3rd party app we have ever used, in the case of reinstall, restoring old templates/settings from app backups was a quick easy request.
I have now been chatting with shopify support for the 3rd time about this issue. This session over an hour. They switch back and forth between insisting that the code is hosted locally within our own shopify code, and that it is somehow magically "only within the app." Refusing to acknowledge that it is possible they have backups to restore from anywhere.
When pressed to show us where the code was within oure store code, they finally admitted it Wasn't there. But then doubled down on it also not being hosted by shopify.
If shopify is running its apps with literally no customer backups that is...unbelievably negligent.

UPDATE:
As the reply says, yes I talked to shopify support. They were more than useless. I had to rebuild my templates from scratch. They told me they would follow up via email to assist me with rebuilding the templates for me. Tried to say they would charge me dev time for it. Then escalated the case... That was a full week ago. No reply at all. Clearly we just rebuilt them entirely on our own cause we need to print orders.
Oh, and the issue is still present in chrome.
I see other reviewers are having similar issues. So it seems to be a thing they dont care to fix. App is not fully functional in firefox as you have to click single orders at a time.
The "current" shopify support that kimi mentions has not responded to me at all in a week.

All I want to do is be able to bulk print order pages (something that shouldn't even need an additional app) I deleted the two premade template so I can build my own, but once they're deleted there's no option to create a new one. That's an oversight as bad as the fact that you can't bulk print in the first place.

I always prefer Shopify's native solutions. but this time their native solution is too simple, It does not have the option to provide the user a download link to his invoices (that i can implement in "my account" page. And also didn't find any option to automatically send invoices to my customer.
Shopify you can do much better than this..
Hi there, thanks for your review. I appreciate the thoughts you've shared in regards to some of the features that aren't currently available within our Order Printer app. I know how highly beneficial it would be to implement these features to our app, so I'll leave this as feedback to our internal development team so that they're aware of the needs you mentioned in your review. Thanks! -Kimi, Shopify Support
We've been using the app for over 2 years with very few issues until recently (within the past 1-2 months) the app wont allow us to print multiple orders at once, the UI of the app does not load correctly, if we manage to load multiple orders it will print the orders with missing information rendering the app pretty useless. printing multiple order sheet/packing slips and labels should be a core feature of an ecommerce site but if the apps built by the developers aren't working they should be prioritised
Hi, there. Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I can definitely understand this issue is not ideal and is affecting your workflow. When you print an order, the template uses the current date instead of the date when the order was created. Not sure how it works in other countries but in my country the tax authorities want the invoice to show when it was actually created. One of the screen-shots above show the incorrect template {{"now" | date: "%m%d%y" }}.
嘿,那里。谢谢你花时间给我们a review for the Order Printer app. I jumped into my own store and tested this behaviour and confirmed that the date of the invoice is dynamic - meaning that it changes to the current date when you print the invoice. If you're looking to change this, you'll want to looking into creating a custom template, or edit the coding of the current template you use to have the date of the order creation added to the invoice. You can reach out to our Live Team (https://bit.ly/2AWw5VA) to get information on our scope of support with these changes, and to see if we can support you directly with adding this information. -Imogen, Shopify Support
It's pretty bad honestly. And wondering why a good packing slip and invoicing option isn't included in Shopify - it was with the platform I just migrated from.
Some of the issue:
Navigation. Every time you edit an invoice or packing slip, there is no way to go immediately back to the "manage templates" area. You almost always have to go all the way back to Shopify and then re-open app. Makes customizing a major time waster.
The preset templates are nearly useless. The packing slip is just addresses. The invoice's payment detail doesn't make sense and will be confusing to customers.
I am pretty disappointed.
嘿,那里。Thank you for reaching out and bringing this to our attention. After editing one of your templates, you can click on the Order Printer title to return to the main page of Order Printer. While this won't take you to the 'Manage templates' page, it does help prevent having to relaunch the app from the Shopify admin.
也就是说,有一堆杂物的液体bles that can be added to the templates so that you can include more information using Order Printer, and we've got some examples here: https://bit.ly/3qhabR6. However, for our complete list of liquid variables, you'll want to launch our app and start editing one of your templates. From there, you can click "View the Liquid variable list" on the left side of the editor.
If you need any help with editing the templates, then we'd be happy to assist you through live chat, email, or callback. Simply visit the Shopify Help Center (https://bit.ly/2AWw5VA) and log into your account to create a support request. Cheers. -Elias, Shopify Support
Overall a great app which we use for a couple of years now. Last few weeks the app seems to have big issues wheter it can print every order in bulk or not. Most of the times it crashes completely and it is unusable, which is a big downside. Since we have to manually make the invoices now or print them one by one.
Similar to other recent reviews, we've been both a long-time Shopify merchant and Order Printer app user. When Shopify took over this app, we also have begun to experience intermittent and ongoing issues with this app not generating our packing list pdfs.
Today while attempting to get support on this issue, I was asked by a representative if we are having an issue with printers when there is clearly evidence of many other stores experiencing similar issues at the same point in time.
Thanks for assuming that I'm too unintelligent to know if I'm having printer issues or not, instead of admitting that Shopify has clearly had issues with this app migration.
My expectation is that Shopify is a large enough company that they can handle migrating an app they've purchased onto their own platform. The migration/product team should be monitoring logs for issues and proactively resolving them, instead of treating merchants like they are crazy / asking them if they are having general printer issues when there is clearly enough merchant feedback that this is a known issue.
Hello, there. Thanks for reaching out and sharing your feedback with us. I'm sorry to hear you haven't had a pleasant experience navigating the app and receiving support. We do our best to support merchants and ensure we've addressed your concerns.
To help rule out any browser issues, could you try clearing your cache and cookies, using an incognito browser or trying a different browser?
If the above suggestions do not help resolve the issue, I recommend reconnecting with our team via the Help Center (https://bit.ly/2AWw5VA) so we can effectively troubleshoot together. - Victoria, Shopify Support.
