If I could give them more than 5 stars I would. For years I've been limping along with subscription apps that ALMOST did what I wanted, and every couple of years I'd look around to see if anything new was available. Another business owner told me about Appstle and she was right. The search is over. Appstle is perfect!
It has so many options for different types of subscription schedules, a gorgeous dashboard for my customers - clean, simple, easy to navigate and VERY easy to customize with exactly the info and options I want them to have access to.
And the customer service is amazing! I've NEVER encountered this level of help before. I had to migrate a group of subscribers once before (with another company) and it was a disaster. They realized (after I deleted all the subscriptions) that a migration wasn't possible and I had to ask all my subscribers to resubscribe. That was NOT an experience I wanted to repeat, so I had a million questions for the folks at Appstle and they were so incredibly patient answering them all. Mine was a fairly complex migration because I was also changing the payment schedule from every 30 days to everyone being charged on the same day (which is another fabulous feature Appstle offers) and they basically did the entire migration for me. It worked flawlessly!

We migrated from ReCharge. This app is much better considering the price difference. But I will warn you that the actual migration process was not straight forward.

I suggest this to try and help you migrate: the best solution was to 1) completely DISABLE your ReCharge subscriptions for a few days (so customers cannot make any changes), 2) then complete migrating across all of the data, 3) and then ENABLE on Appstle (after testing/UAT). First we tried to migrate while ReCharge was still active (which meant customers constantly updating their subscriptions), so the data in each platform was never in sync.
@Appstle team - there is a big opportunity for improvement with the migration process.
In terms of ongoing support it has been excellent. Always fast communication and they make bespoke customisations for us as required.
It has a lot of features already built in, so most of the things you can think of are ready to go. If you want a feature that is not currently offered, it goes into a production backlog whereby users can vote for the new features to be developed.
I would definitely recommend this app if you're running a subscription offering in your business.

What a nightmare!!!! We installed this app, and noticed a MAJOR DROP in sales only to find out that it had broken our entire /cart page!!! No one was able to checkout until we caught the problem! Whether or not someone had purchased a subscription, they were not allowed to checkout - it would take them to the /cart page where a loading icon would just rotate for hours on end. As a quick fix, we had to put up a pop-up cart that would allow for checkouts. Not only was this the worst experience we've ever had with an app, but all their instructions on how to setup the subscription were wrong. Support would tell me to do things and test orders that didn't end up working the way we wanted them to. Those test orders also went towards our monthly limit!! Not only did we not have a cart page active, terrible support, and a major headache, we had to pay for it all!!

I am the CTO of Appstle. I am sorry you had less than stellar experience with us. The cart widget doesn't work out of the box for all themes. That's why we have a note in the portal to reach out in case it doesn't work. All the other issues are already taken care of. There was a high surge of merchant chats at that point of time, hence it took us some time to reply.
My company has been using this app since September 2022. In that time, our experience has been awful. Do not be fooled by the many 5 star reviews. We went with this app because of the "excellent reviews".
Here are the reasons why you shouldn't go with this app:
The support team is completely uneducated on the app and could not help me with any issues I brought up from the start. We switched from WooCommerece to Shopify and Appstle promised that we could transfer our previous subscriptions over. The process was on-going even after launching our Shopify site. The support team kept telling us different things and promising a quick turn around, none of which happened.
Additionally, the company behind the app is incredibly dishonest about what the app can do and how much it costs. And to make matters worse, the company frequently makes changes to the app without any warning. These changes often break the app, leaving users like myself frustrated and unable to operate our businesses effectively. It's incredibly frustrating to have to constantly worry about whether or not the app will work the way it's supposed to.
They recently changed what customization you have control of based on what tier you pay for without telling us. So our widget broke and lost all of our branding. When I contacted support, they asked if we had made any changes to the widget and they didn't understand what "branding" is. I had to dig around the app to discover that they had made this change. Now they want us to pay 3 times what we are currently paying them on a monthly basis.
Lastly, the app has a horrid UI/UX design. The layout is confusing and difficult to navigate, and the overall user experience is not enjoyable. It feels like the developers put little thought into making the app user-friendly, which is unacceptable given the high cost of the subscription.
Overall, I would not recommend this app to anyone. It's not worth the headache and hassle that comes with it. These are just a few issues we have had over the last 6 months, the list is a lot longer. Save your money and look for a better option elsewhere.

I am the co-founder of Appstle. I am sorry to hear that your experience with us hasn’t been great. I went through your tickets. Addressing the main one, in Shopify, whenever a product is deleted/recreated or a variant is updated, a new variant ID will be created. Hence the variants from your old contracts will not be present on Shopify. It will need to be updated. This would be true on any other app as well. However, we do have automation triggers for that at Appstle.
On the Migration front, we were restricted by the data we got - as in, it had missing pieces that were critical for a seamless transition from the competition app. That is why we had to go back and forth with you. It’s unfortunately not possible to speed up the migration if the data isn’t right.
I would love to personally jump in and see how I can help ensure you have a smooth move from WooCommerce and address any other doubts you may have. I waited to leave a review until I was able to try the app out and see how it was working over a few weeks. All in all, I am very happy with this app and how it handles all of our subscriptions.
We offer a subscription to a single product and that product is only shipped out every five weeks. I looked all over for an app that would enable us to run our subscriptions the way that we want, and this is the one! There are SO many ways you can customize the experience for your customers and SO many different settings to make the subscriptions work exactly how you need. We were able to set everything up so that it works perfectly for our niche product and customers.
I will say that it took me almost two full days to get everything configured the way that we needed it to be for our specific needs. I reached out to their support folks more times than I'd like to admit, and they helped me with everything!
I absolutely recommend this app, especially if you have some weirdo specific thing you're attempting to accomplish with your subscriptions.

Overall the app is easy to use and does what it is supposed to. I do want to point out the exceptional customer service though. I have reached out a few times via chat about issues I was having and always got a quick response (within a couple minutes) and a solution. One time did end up being a bug on their end and they got a fix for it within a day, which I was super impressed with. Would definitely recommend the plugin

The best thing about this app (besides the fact that it works well with our theme - we had endless problems with the last app we used) is the customer service. The responses to customer service chat are quick, helpful, and easy to navigate. I've been given clear directions as to what the service professionals need from me, or they just go ahead and make the change quickly and efficiently. It's been a great experience overall. One thing to be careful of is that there are a couple of grammar/spelling errors in some of the email templates and information screens, so just be sure to check them carefully before publishing.

I initially tried a diff sub app but didnt like its limited functions...I then learned about this one. It does everything i need! The support staff is EXCELLENT and have helped explain settings and even helped to tweek some things left in the code from the other app I had tried previously. I really enjoy the options in this app and it saves me so much time in not having to manually bill customers any longer. FIRST RATE CUSTOMER service to help you in anything you need as well!

Update: You can tell Appstle's been working hard to implement the best features and usability. The support is very quick and has always been good quality, but it has also improved to be even better! Very happy to have this app. There were quite a few hiccups in the early days, but I'm so glad that we got through them. If you're new to subscription apps, just start with this one! The reason I had hiccups was because I started with a different subscription app.
Initial onboarding took some patience since I was migrating from Bold V1. We had a few issues due to leftover code from Bold V1, but that wasn't Appstle's fault. We also encountered a glitch on Appstle's end that prevented us from using the app and after a video call, got that resolved very quickly and reset our free trial so that we could actually try it out before purchasing. The customer portal is easy, I love being able to send a magic link. Support is incredibly fast and usually very helpful, IF you get the right person. This app works way better than our previous app and is very functional. Compared to Bold V1, I get way less confused customers now with Appstle. Great app!
I am in the process of opening my store, so far I have found appstle very easy to use. I am completely new to this and not technical at all but have managed to figure out most of it myself. I needed support with a few minor technicalities and they were super quick to reply via the live chat, my issue was resolved very quickly. Highly recommend using appstle, my website is now working exactly as I wanted it to.
