Processing a test transaction with Shopify POS
After you have set up your stores'shardware,payment methods, andproducts, then you're ready to process a test transaction.
Processing a test transaction enables you to ensure that you're ready to accept payments from your customers.
Before you process a test transaction, do the following:
Activate cash payments: You can process different payment types using Shopify POS. For test purposes, use a cash payment.
Enable cash trackingandstart a new session: Cash tracking sessions are used to balance your cash drawer on a regular basis and hold staff accountable for the money they've handled. By starting a new session for your test transaction, you can keep it separate for your personal records.
Create a test customer: You can create profiles for your customers to save their name and contact details. Recording customer contact details is especially useful for sending receipts by email, and for broadening your customer base for email marketing campaigns. Create a customer with an email that you have access to for test purposes.
Customize receipts: You can customize the information that appears on your store's receipts.

Add a product to the cart. To add a product to the cart, tap
≡
>产品and select a product from the list. If your product has variants, then select a variant. If you use barcodes in your store, then you can also scan the product's barcode.To add a customer to the order, tap theAdd customersmart grid tileand select your test customer.
利用Checkout>Cash>Exact change.
利用Email receipt,Text receipt, orPrint receipt.
利用Order noteand enterTest transactioninto the field for your personal records.
利用Done.
You can view the test order on the order page by tapping≡
,Orders, and then selecting the order. You can process additional test transactions if you want to test any other settings.
When you are finished processing test transactions, you canclose the tracking session.
