About the role

To accelerate our growth, we’re searching for exceptional sales leaders to join the team at Shopify. Their mission will be to develop our talent, break down walls and grow our business. They will help define the processes, run the experiments, and grow the people. This team will be critical to our success and will have the opportunity to impact Shopify and setup Shopify for long term success.

Responsibilities:

  • Build our people and create a dynamic high-performing environment.
  • Hire, inspire, support and coach a team of sales reps, prioritizing the right behaviours and growing Shopify revenue
  • Drive change. Be proactive with the business, identify opportunities, build projects and deliver to the finish line.
  • Leverage data and process to increase business efficiency, creating valuable systems that make us better
  • Build strong relationships with teams across the Plus organisation.
  • Provide guidance on asking the right questions and creating an incredible first impression with our merchants and partners
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure that our inbound SDR team are equipped with the necessary resources and skills to succeed in their role

As an Inbound Sales Development Team Manager, you will be responsible for coaching and developing our inbound sales development representatives to qualify leads, including warm and cold outreach via phone, email, and LinkedIn. You will also be responsible for keeping up-to-date with new commerce trends and developing an understanding of our product offerings to help more merchants grow on Shopify. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that our sales development representatives are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a sales manager or similar role and a love for data and how it can help sales teams win.
  • Strong coaching and leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • The desire to have an impact and make a difference.
  • An ability to thrive in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment
  • Strong process improvement skills to help develop the roles as the business changes
