连接your third-party domain to Shopify manually

If you purchased your domain from a domain provider other than Google Domains, GoDaddy, or 1&1 IONOS, and you have theirrequirements, then you can connect your domain to Shopify manually.

Before you begin

To complete this procedure, you need to have the following information:

  • your login information for your third-party domain provider account
  • your domain provider'srequirements
  • the Shopify IP address23.227.38.65
  • thewwwCNAME recordshops.myshopify.com

You can have only one A record and onewwwCNAME record associated with your domain. If your domain already has an A record orwwwCNAME record, then you need to change these records to point to Shopify. You can have multiple CNAME records associated with your domain, but each one must have a unique name, such aswwworshop.

Step 1: Change your DNS records in your third-party domain provider account

  1. On your domain provider’s website, log in to your account.
  2. Find the DNS settings or domain management area.
  3. Change the following records:
    1. Point theArecord to the Shopify IP address23.227.38.65.
    2. If necessary, change theHostname to the@symbol.
    3. Delete any other A records on the domain if there are any present.
    4. Point theCNAMErecord with the namewwwtoshops.myshopify.com.
  4. Save your changes.

Step 2: Connect your domain to Shopify

  1. From your Shopify admin, go toSettings>Domains.
  2. Click连接existing domain.
  3. Enter your domain, such asjohns-apparel.info, and then clickNext.
  4. To confirm that your domain is connected to your Shopify store, clickVerify connection.

It might take up to 48 hours for your domain to be verified. After it's verified, your domain is listed in theTHIRD-PARTY DOMAINSsection of theDomainspage with the status连接.
