Manage products, categories, and collections on Shop
Using theShop channel, you can manage the products, categories, and collections that are available through the Shop app.

To be listed in Shop, products need to have an image, price, and product type. The products that you sell through Shop need to follow the requirements in theShop merchant guidelines.
If you're using the Shop channel, then you can use the bulk editor within the channel to manage the products that are available to the Shop app. It can take up to 48 hours for changes to display in the Shop channel and Shop app.

From your Shopify admin, clickSettings>Apps and sales channels.
From theApps and sales channelspage, clickShop.
ClickOpen sales channel.
In theCatalogsection, clickManage.
ClickManage products in bulk.
ClickColumns, and then selectPublished in Shop.
In thePublished in Shopcolumn, select the products that you want to display in Shop, or deselect the products that you want to hide from Shop.
ClickSave.
View the status of your products
In theCatalogsection, you can clickManageto view the listing status of the products that you want to be available in the Shop app.
Listing Statuses
- Not Listed:Your product isn't visible to customers in the Shop app. Click the listing status to find out why the product isn't listed, and how to resolve the issue.
- Listed:Your product is visible to customers in the Shop app.
Error message | Description |

Prohibited product type | If a product is prohibited, such as age-restricted products or hazardous materials, then the product won't be approved. Learn more aboutprohibited product types. |
Missing image | The product image needs to exist on one of the product variants to be available in search. |
Missing product type | The product needs to have a standardized product type selected to be available in search. Learn more aboutproduct types. |
Invalid product price | 产品价格需要列入more than 0 in your Shopify admin to be available in search. |
Product SEO hidden | If a product has a metafield set toSEO hidden, then it won't be available in search through any channel. |
Non-compliant product | If an ineligible search query is made and it matches a product, then the product isn't approved. |
Shop product data completion score
Shop provides a product data completion score and guidance to boost your discoverability in the Shop app. You can use the information and guidance provided by the Shop product data completion score feature to improve your product data completion score and to help your products reach new and existing Shop app customers.
You can view the product data completion for each of your products by clickingManagein theCatalogsection of the Shop channel. When possible, Shop uses machine learning to predict product categories and attributes, and adds them to your product information. You can update the predicted product categories and attributes, or delete them.

From your Shopify admin, clickSettings>Apps and sales channels.
From theApps and sales channelspage, clickShop.
ClickOpen sales channel.
In theCatalogsection, clickManage.
Review theProduct data completioncolumn to check each score.
Click the product that you want to edit.
Click the product information that you want to add, and follow the prompts to continue.
Manage categories and collections
To help customers navigate your products, you can add collections to yourCategoriesorCollectionson Shop. Categories display as icons at the top of your Shop Store, whereas collections display in theCollectionssection. For categories, you can't change the image that's used, whereas for collections you can edit or customize the image displayed.
You can add up to 12 categories and 5 collection lists, where each collection list can include up to 10 collections which will each list up to 250 products. After you add a collection to a collection list, that collection can't be added to another collection list.
To be listed on Shop, collections need to have at least one approved product, an image, and beavailable on the Shop channel. You can use the Shop channel to manage the collections that you want to display in Shop.

ClickOpen sales channel.
In theStoresection, clickCustomize.
Do either of the following:
- ClickCategories.
- To add a collection to your Shop categories, clickAdd a category, and then select the collection that you want to display in Shop.
- To remove a category from your Shop categories, click the trash can icon next to the category that you want to remove from Shop.
- ClickCollections.
- To add a collection to your Shop collections, clickAdd a collection, and then select the collection that you want to display in Shop.
- To remove a collection from your Shop collections, click the trash can icon next to the collection that you want to remove from Shop.
- ClickCategories.
ClickSave.
Change the order in which categories and collections display in your Shop Store
From your Shopify admin, clickSettings>Apps and sales channels.
From theApps and sales channelspage, clickShop.
ClickOpen sales channel.
In theStoresection, clickCustomize.
ClickCategoriesorCollections.
Drag and drop a category or collection to the spot where you want it to display.
ClickSave.
Display the cover images of your collections on Shop
Categoriesautomatically display an image of a best-selling product from the collection chosen as the category. You can choose whether to display or hide cover images forCollections.

From your Shopify admin, clickSettings>Apps and sales channels.
From theApps and sales channelspage, clickShop.
ClickOpen sales channel.
In theStoresection, clickCustomize.
ClickCollections.
For theDisplay imagesoption, click是的orNo. If是的is chosen, then the selected collections must have a cover image included.
ClickSave.
View the status of your collections
In theCategoriesandCollectionssections, you can view the approval status of the collections that you want to make available in the Shop app. If a collection isn't approved, then you can click the link next to the error message to make changes to the collection so that it can be reevaluated.
Error messages
If your collection isn't approved, then the collection doesn't display in the Shop app. Review the table below to learn more about what an error message means.
