If you have a Shopify online store, then you can create webpages in your Shopify admin. Webpages contain information that rarely changes or that customers will reference often, like an "About Us" page or a "Contact Us" page. Learn more aboutwhat to include in an "About Us" page.

You can alsoadd a blogto your online store for content that you'll be updating regularly, or if you want to encourage feedback.


Add a new webpage to your online store

Steps:

Add content to a webpage

The rich text editor displays text in theContentfield in the same style that it will display online. You can format your text and change the text color by choosing options in the rich text editor. You can also insert the following elements into a webpage:

  • links
  • tables
  • images
  • videos

To edit the HTML code for the page, click theShow HTMLbutton to view the HTML and make changes:

Make sure that you clickSavewhenever you make a change to the webpage content that you want to keep.

You can add a link to a webpage to direct customers to another webpage in your online store or elsewhere on the internet.

Steps:

  1. In theContentfield, enter text to transform into a link.

  2. Highlight the link text and click theInsert linkbutton:

  1. Enter a web address in theLink tofield. Enter a descriptiveLink titleto help withsearch engine optimizationand accessibility.

  2. ClickSave.

Add a Google map to a webpage

You can add a Google map for an address to a webpage in your online store. For example, it's a good idea to add a map to yourAbout uspage to show your retail location:

  1. InGoogle Maps, enter the address you want to map.

  2. Click the Share icon to open sharing options.

  3. ClickEmbed mapto create your embed code.

  4. Choose the map size you want, then copy the code in the text box. The code begins with

After you write a draft of your "About Us" page, you might want to ask someone else to read it, offer you feedback, and look for any writing errors. When you're ready, you can add a page to your online store to share your story with customers.

Steps:

  1. Enter a title and content for the page.

  2. UnderVisibility, select when the page should be published. By default, your new webpage is visible when you clickSave. Select theHiddenoption if you want your new webpage to be hidden from your online store, or clickSet a specific publish datetocontrol when your webpage is published.

  3. ClickSave.

After you create your "About Us" page, you need toadd a link to it from your online store navigationso that it appears in a menu.
