Searching, viewing, and printing orders
By default, all your orders are displayed on theOrderspage. You can customize your order views or create new views that include the filters, sorting, and column arrangements that help you quickly access and prioritize groups of orders in the future.
Viewing details from the orders list
When you hover your cursor over parts of the orders list, you can quickly view order details in pop-ups.
Pop-ups are available for the following columns:
- Customer
- Items
- Tags
For example, you can click a customer's name for information like customer location, number of orders, and contact information.
The icons beside your order numbers also provide extra information. For example, you can tell if there are notes or comments on the order, or if the order is athigh risk of fraud. Hover your cursor over an icon to open the pop-up.
Order views
Order views are created with saved filters, column choices, column order, and sort order. Order views are displayed as tabs on the top of theOrderspage. You can customize order views, and create, rename, or delete views. If you create a new order view, it's added as a new tab on theOrderspage.
The following order views are the default views:
- All
- Unfulfilled
- Unpaid
- Closed
- Open
- Local Delivery is also displayed if Locations is enabled for your store.
In any order view exceptAll, you can make the following changes and save them to the current view or save them as a new view:
- select filters
- show or hide columns
- reorder columns
- select the sorting criteria and sorting order
- filter with a custom search term
- rename the view
- delete the view
Although, you can't change or delete theAllview, you can create a new view that is based on theAllview.
The orders that appear in saved views are updated automatically. For example, if you saved a filter forPaid orders, then any orders that become paid are added to that order view automatically.
Save changes to the current order view
You can save changes to any view except theAllview.
Steps:
From your Shopify admin, go toOrders.
Change the filters, the columns, or the sort order.
ClickSave.
Create a new order view
You create new order views based on existing order views.
You can change the filters, columns, and sort order before or after you save to a new view.
Steps:
From your Shopify admin, go toOrders.
On any order view, click..., and then do one of the following:
- To create a new order view based on the current order view, clickSave as.
- To create a new order view based on theAllorder view, click创建视图.
- Type a view name and clickSave viewor创建视图.
Delete an order view
You can't delete the theAllorder view, but you can delete any other views that you don't use.
If you delete a default view and decide later that you need it, then you can recreate it the same way you create any new view. For settings information, refer toDefault settings for order views.
Steps:
From your Shopify admin, go toOrders.
Click the order view tab that you want to delete.
Click..., then clickDelete view.
To confirm the deletion, clickDelete View.
Filtering orders
From your Shopify admin, you can use different types of filters to change which orders are displayed, and to perform bulk actions on multiple orders. You can also filter your orders using a custom search. To reuse filters or filter combinations, save them as order views.
You can do the following with order filters:
- Filter your orders
- Filter by location
- Filter with a custom term
- Use bulk actions with a view or filter
- Match third-party payment information with Shopify orders
Filter your orders
Filters determine which orders are displayed in an order view. For example, theAllview has no filters. The defaultUnfulfilledview uses theFullfillment statusfilter with a value of unfulfilled to show you all of your store’s unfulfilled orders.
When you select filters, you can also combine them to see orders that match multiple criteria. For example, you can combine theLow riskandUnpaidfilters to view a list of your store's orders that are both low risk and unpaid.
You can use the following filters on your order list:
- Delivery Method: local delivery, local pickup, ship to customer
- Status: open, archived, canceled
- Payment status: authorized, paid, partially paid, partially refunded, pending, refunded, unpaid, voided
- Fulfillment status: fulfilled, unfulfilled, partially fulfilled, scheduled, on hold
- Return status: return in progress, returned

- Chargeback and inquiry status: open, submitted, won, lost, any
- Risk level: high, medium, low
- Date: in the last week, in the last month, in the last 3 months, in the last year, or custom

Steps:
From your Shopify admin, go toOrders.
On any order view, clickFilters.
ClickSelect filterand select a filter.
ClickSelect valueand select or enter a value.
To add another filter, clickAdd Filter.
Optional:Save changes to the vieworsave changes as a new view.
From theShopify app, go toOrders>All orders.
Tap the filter icon.
On theFilters屏幕上,点击选择each filter that you want to add.
To remove any filters from the Filters screen, tap the
x
next to the filter name.

Filter orders using custom terms
You can use the search bar to filter your orders with a custom term. A custom term can be used as a filter on its own, or in combination with filters in the existing categories. For example, you can filter your orders by searching for a customer name, product name, SKU, order number, or country.

Save order filters to views

Filter orders by their location
If your store has multiple locations, then you can filter your orders by location. Location is set separately from other filters that you can save in order views. When you change the location, the new location is applied to all your views.
Steps:
From your Shopify admin, go toOrders.
Click the location selector on the top right of the page.
Select the appropriate location.
From theShopify app, go toOrders>All orders.
Tap the location selector.

Match third-party payment information with Shopify orders
When a charge, refund or capture occurs on your Shopify store, a payment ID is sent to your payment provider. If your payment provider records and uses this payment ID, then you can use this payment ID to search for the order within your Shopify account. If your payment provider doesn't record or use this payment ID, then contact your payment provider for the best way to match orders on Shopify to their order records.
Steps:
From your Shopify admin, go toOrders.
Search using the custom term
payment_id:
and the payment ID value. For examplepayment_id:xxx
. Alternatively, you can search using thepayment_iddirectly, without any custom terms.Click the order.
Show, hide, and reorder columns
To optimize each of your order views, you can show, hide, and reorder columns. The only column that you can't reorder is the Order which is always first.
Steps:
From your Shopify admin, go toOrders.
ClickColumns.
Check columns to show them, or uncheck columns to hide them.
In theColumns list, click the item handle

, and then drag it up to move the column left, or down to move the column right. As you make changes, the orders list updates.
Use bulk actions with an order view or filter
In any order view, you can select some or all orders and perform bulk actions on the orders. You can perform bulk actions on any order view with or without saving the filters. However, if you perform bulk actions often, saving the filters to an order view can help you to work faster.
For example, you might want to quickly capture funds for all orders that are pending payment. You can use bulk actions so that you don't have to open each order and manually capture funds.
Steps:
From your Shopify admin, go toOrders.
Click an order view.
Click an action or clickMore actions, and then select an action from the list.
If you are prompted, confirm your choice.
Print an order
You might want to produce a printed copy of an order for your own records, or to include in the box when you ship to a customer.
Steps:
From your Shopify admin, go toOrders.
From theOrderspage, click the order number for the order that you want to print.
ClickPrint>Print order page.
In the print options window, select your printer and settings and clickPrint.
Default settings for order views
The following table provides a description of the default order views. If you delete a default order view, you can use this description to help you to recreate the view.
