Adding or updating gift card products

You can add a new gift card product or update an existing one from theGift cardspage of your Shopify admin.

Activate the gift card feature

Before you can sell gift cards, you need to activate the gift card feature.

Steps:

1. From your Shopify admin, go toProducts>Gift cards.

2. ClickAdd gift card product.

Your first gift card is created immediately, but its status is set asdraftby default.

Add or update a gift card product

Before you add a gift card product, make sure that youactivate the gift card feature.

Steps:

1. From your Shopify admin, go toProducts>Gift cards.

2. Click礼品卡的产品.

3. Add a new gift card product, or select an existing one:

   • If you want to add a new gift card product, then clickAdd a gift card product.
   • If you want to update an existing gift card product, then click the gift card product name.

4. Enter the gift card's information into the following fields:

   • Title——输入一个名称gift card product, for exampleBirthday gift card.
   • Description- Enter a description of this gift card as you want it to appear on your store.
   • Media- Upload product media, such as an image. Product media is shown on the product page of your online store.
   • Denominations- There are several default denominations created for a gift card product in the currency of your store. Each denomination is saved as a variant of the gift card product.
   • Search engine listing preview- This is a preview of how your gift card product might appear in search engine results.
   • Sales channels and apps- View and change theavailability settingsto publish the gift card and sell it through your sales channels. You can click the calendar icon beside欧宝体育官网入口首页toset a specific publishing date.
   • Organization- You can add optional information about the product type and vendor,add the gift card product to existing manual collections, andadd tags.

5. When you're done, clickSave.

Add a new gift card product denomination

1. From your Shopify admin, go toProducts>Gift cards.

2. ClickView gift card products.

3. Click the gift card that you want to edit.

4. In theVariantssection, clickAdd variant.

5. Assign a title, price, and image to your new variant.

6. Optional: Add additional information about the variant, such as SKU (stock keeping unit) and quantity.

7. ClickSave.

Remove a gift card product denomination

To remove a gift card denomination:

1. From your Shopify admin, go toProducts>Gift cards.

2. ClickView gift card products.

3. Click the gift card that you want to edit.

4. In theVariantssection, click the trash can beside the variant that you want to delete.

5. In the confirmation dialog, click删除.

Add the gift card product to a collection

You can add gift card products to amanual collectionor anautomated collectionlike any other product. You can also add a gift card to an existing manual collection on the gift card's product details page.

Steps:

1. From your Shopify admin, go toProducts>Gift cards.

2. ClickView gift card products.

3. Click the gift card that you want to edit.

4. In theCollectionssection, enter the name of an existing manual collection to search for it.

5. Click the collection name to add the gift card.

Publish the gift card product

When you create a new gift card product, it's hidden from your active sales channels by default and is published to product catalogs. To begin selling it, you need to publish it to one or more of your active sales channels.

You can publish a gift card product to a sales channel by changing the availability settings on its details page.

Steps:

1. From your Shopify admin, go toProducts>Gift cards.

2. ClickView gift card products.

3. Click the gift card that you want to edit.

4. In theSales channelssection,make the gift card availableto one or more of your active sales channels.

5. ClickSave.

Preview a gift card product

Previewing a gift card product shows you what a gift card product looks like after a customer buys it.

Steps:

1. From your Shopify admin, go toProducts>Gift cards.

2. ClickView gift card products.

3. Click the gift card product that you want to preview.

4. ClickPreview.
