Resetting passwords

You can reset your login password if you forget it, or if you want to keep your account more secure. If you're thestore owner, then you can reset your own password and initiate your staff's password reset.

The steps to reset a password are the same with two-step authentication enabled.

Reset your forgotten password

  1. From the Shopifylogin page, enter your store address and clickNext.

  2. Enter your login email and clickNext.

  3. ClickForgot password?.

  4. Enter the email that you used to create your Shopify account.

  5. ClickReset password.

  6. You're sent an email with a link to reset your password. In the email, clickReset password.

  7. Enter your new password in theConfirm passwordfield.

  8. ClickReset password.

  9. Go back to your Shopifylogin pageand log in with your new password.

  1. From the Shopify app login screen, tapForgot password?.

  2. Enter the email that you used to create your Shopify account.

  3. TapDone.

  4. You're sent an email with a link to reset your password. In the email, clickReset password.

  5. The password-reset screen opens in your iPhone's browser. Enter a new password.

  6. Enter your new password again in theConfirm passwordfield.

  7. TapReset password.

  8. Go back to the Shopify app and log in with your new password.

Change your password

  1. From your Shopify admin, click your username and account picture.

  2. ClickManage account.

  3. ClickSecurity>Change your password.

  4. The password-reset screen opens. Enter your current password and a new password.

  5. Enter your new password again in theConfirm passwordfield.

  6. ClickChange password.

  7. Go to your Shopifylogin pageand log in with your new password.

Reset staff passwords

  1. From your Shopify admin, clickSettings, and then clickUsers and permissions.

  1. Click the name of the staff.

  2. In the重置密码部分,clickEmail instructions. The staff receives an email with instructions on how to reset their password.
