Refer an entrepreneur to Shopify

You can refer friends, family, and other entrepreneurs to sign up for Shopify through a referral link that's unique to your store. If anyone that you refer signs up for Shopify and all the eligibility requirements are met, then both you and your referral can earn a subscription credit on your store.

The referral credit amounts can vary from 50 USD to 100 USD based on the store's country. You can receive subscription credits on your store for up to 10 successful referrals.

Eligibility requirements

• Your store needs to be on the Trial, Basic, Shopify, or Advanced plan when the referral is made. Your store can’t be frozen, or on the Pause and Build, Starter Trial, Starter, Plus, or Enterprise plans.
• Both you and your referral need to have an active Shopify subscription at the time of the payout.
• Both you and your referral need to be on the Basic, Shopify, or Advanced plans when the subscription credit payout is made. Frozen, Trial, Pause and Build, Starter Trial, Starter, Plus, and Enterprise plans are excluded.
• Both you and your referral need to have successfully paid one Shopify invoice (excluding $1 plans). The time of subscription credit payout happens when both you and your referral have paid at least one monthly subscription bill in full.
• You can’t refer yourself to the program.

Access your referral link

你可以访问s your referral link from your profile in the Shopify admin. If theRefer an entrepreneuroption isn't displayed for you, then you aren't eligible to refer an entreprener to Shopify.

Steps:

1. From your Shopify admin, click your profile name.
2. ClickRefer an entrepreneur.
3. ClickCopy link, or click a social media icon to log in and share the link on that platform.

You can share the link with anyone that you want to refer by email, social media posts, or direct messages.

View your referral credits

After your referral has signed up for Shopify, chosen an eligible plan, and paid their first full price subscription bill, your referral is counted as successful and you receive an email to notify you. A referral credit doesn't appear in your Shopify admin until the referral is counted as successful.

If you pause or deactivate your account, then the credits expire after 6 months.

Steps:

1. From your Shopify admin, clickSettings.
2. ClickBilling.
3. Under theCreditssection, any available credits for your store are listed.
