Getting over your fear about money conversations isn’t easy. Financial confident Jackie Porter suggests some ways you can overcome these fears:

Figure out the cause of your financial anxiety
Write it down!
Positively reinforce what you’re doing well
Set goals

Try not to hit like. My name is Jackie Porter. I'm a financial confidant and my mission is to break the money silence for people that are not. Maybe they're not ready to retire to a financial planner. I'm ready even to start thinking about finances. How did you position not to someone to overcome that fear because they're not confident about it. Yeah, I think first that is be prepared to have a conversation with yourself.

And they could about like what's making you so anxious. What's leading to your level of anxiety or shame is a debt is it. You know you know your money is sitting in a savings account sleeping while you're working really hard at worrying about retirement. Figure out what's causing you to not look at your finances why you're not leaning into your finances and start from there. And then write down.

Write down like what you want your life to look like. And then there's always things that people do well. So also Pat yourself on the back because there's probably things that you're doing while about your finances that you're not giving yourself credit for. Sometimes I talk to people who they're not investors. But they're great savers. So there are just a few steps away from being a really great investor. They just need knowledge. So first and foremost, look at what your circumstances are. Look at what's making you anxious for the things that are keeping you up at night.

Let's address them. And then also Pat yourself on the back for the things that you're doing well. What do you think you're doing well about your finances right. All of those things down. And then start to make some set some goals and make a plan around that. All right. OK I went through room to room.
