Hi everyone. I'm Lucy Martin. I'm a digital marketer photographer and co-owner of The Wardrobe Clothing Store. Now digital marketing is the best way to drive more traffic and get more sales. But if you're just getting started, it can be really, really overwhelming. Luckily, Shopify has simplified this process by integrating seamlessly with email and Facebook marketing, which are two of the top drivers of traffic online. In this video, I'm going to walk you through setting up your marketing campaigns right in Shopify, so by the end of the video, you're going to be on your way to launching your first campaigns.

First, let's talk about email campaigns. Email campaigns are the most cost effective type of marketing you can use. Shopify automatically makes a database of anyone who buys from you online. So, you already have a list of your current customers, emails at your fingertips and ready to message. In the Shopify admin, you can easily set up email campaigns and see an overview of your marketing efforts.

You can use Shopify email or there are a lot of other email marketing apps that also integrate directly with Shopify. In your emails you'll need to add a product, photos and text. Make sure to pick your strongest images and opt for short snappy text that quickly gets your message across. If you're just getting started with email marketing, send out one email a week, highlighting new arrivals, bestsellers in any sales.

Next let's talk about Facebook page posts. This is another tool available within Shopify campaigns. And this is a great tool because you can link multiple products to a Facebook post to create a shop carousel. I use this feature to share products that compliment each other to cross promote them. When the post pops up in users Facebook feeds, each item will be clickable. Fair warning.

You might notice that these types of posts don't get quite as much engagement in terms of likes and comments but they get a lot more actual product clicks and adds to cart. And really this is the most important metric you should always look at when judging your social media marketing efforts and how they translate to actual sales. Once you start consistently running social media marketing campaigns, you should be driving a lot of traffic to your website.

Not everyone will purchase the first time on a new website though. Usually, they'll check it out. They'll browse a bit and then they'll leave. The important thing is trying to get these potential customers back again with Facebook retargeting ads. You should run Facebook retargeting ads, 24-7 on your shop. It's so powerful because Facebook will show the same or similar products to your website visitors that they've already been looking at.
2:54
You've likely experienced this yourself. You've Googled a product, checked out a few websites and then the next day noticed an ad on your social media for that exact item. You can do this same thing for your store. To set it up, use the Facebook dynamic retargeting ad campaign in Shopify. The beautiful thing about this type of ad is that Facebook really does all of the work for you.

You don't have to select the products to share or specific details. Facebook already knows whose been looking at your products and uses this algorithm to show them the right product at the right time. Simply write a short caption, something like 'don't miss out on these favorites'. It should be kind of vague as you don't know what product is going to be shown with that text. So, if you're just getting started, start with a budget of like $10 a day.

And as you start seeing results, you can always increase this amount. Leave the end date blank so this will constantly run. You'll notice that Facebook retargeting ads will be one of the best drivers of sales and repeat customers for your online store. There you go. That's how easy it is to set up marketing campaigns, right within Shopify and start driving more traffic and sales to your online store. Thanks so much for watching.
