Choosing and managing your POS app subscription

Shopify POS is an app that you can use to sell your products almost anywhere, including brick and mortar stores, markets, and pop-up stores. Shopify POS syncs with Shopify to track your orders and inventory across your retail locations, online store, and other active sales channels.

You can choose your level of POS app subscriptions for each of your locations, which lets you pick the subscription that fits each of your locations' individual retail needs.

POS feature overview

Manage the POS subscription for each location

You can upgrade or downgrade your POS subscriptions by location to ensure that your stores have the subscription that best suits their needs.

Steps:

  1. From your Shopify admin, clickSettings>Apps and sales channels.

  2. From theApps and sales channelspage, clickPoint of sale.

  3. ClickOpen sales channel.

  4. ClickLocations.

  5. ClickManage subscriptions.

  6. Select a subscription for each location.

  7. ClickSave.

  8. ClickApprove subscription.

Shopify POS Pro billing

Shopify POS Pro is billed either on a monthly or annual billing cycle. To learn more about how to select a POS subscription for your locations, refer tolocation management. For more information on how Shopify's billing cycles work, refer toApp billing cycles.

Uninstall the POS sales channel

If you no longer need the POS sales channel, then you can uninstall it from your Shopify admin. Before you uninstall the POS sales channel, make sure to do the following actions:

  • review your POS subscription
  • fulfill all POS orders
  • process all returns or refunds on POS orders
  • remove the Shopify POS app from all devices

Steps:

  1. From your Shopify admin, clickSettings>Apps and sales channels.
  2. Click thePoint of Salesales channel.
  3. ClickUninstall sales channel.
  4. SelectI understand the risks of uninstalling this sales channel.
  5. Optional: Select a reason why you're uninstalling the sales channel.
  6. ClickUninstall.

After you uninstall the POS sales channel, you can't publish products, fulfill orders, or manage performance anymore in your Shopify POS app.
