Manage cardholders
The primary cardholder of a Shopify Credit account can add secondary cardholders from the staff accounts associated with their Shopify store.
The secondary cardholder has access to a virtual card by default, and canorder a physical cardif desired.

When you invite a staff member to be a secondary cardholder, they need to accept the invitation and complete their secondary cardholder setup within 14 days. If they don't accept the invitation within 14 days, then you canresend the invitation.
When you invite a staff member to be a secondary cardholder, you can choose a monthly spending limit for that secondary cardholder. You can change the monthly spending limit of any secondary cardholder in your Shopify admin at any time. The monthly spending limit resets on the first calendar day of each month.
If at any time the total available credit on the Shopify Credit account is less than the secondary cardholders available monthly spending limit, then the secondary cardholder can't spend more than the remaining available credit.

Steps:
- In your Shopify admin, go toFinances>Credit.
- ClickManage cards.
- In theCardholderssection, click添加.
- Select the staff member that you want to add as a secondary cardholder.
- Optional: If you want to set monthly spending limit for the secondary cardholder that's less than the maximum credit amount, enter a value for the monthly spending limit. Otherwise, leave this field empty.
- Click添加secondary cardholder.
The staff member that you invite needs toaccept the invitation and finish setupbefore they can begin using their card.
Accept an invitation to become a secondary cardholder
After the primary cardholdersends you an invitationto become a secondary cardholder, you need to complete your secondary cardholder setup before you can use your Shopify Credit pay in full business credit card.
Before you begin, review whether you have two-step authentication (2SA) activated for your account. 2SA is required to access all the features of Shopify Credit, so if you aren't already using 2SA, then firstset up 2SA for your account.
Steps:
- From your Shopify admin, go toFinances>Credit.
- ClickJoin now.
- Review your personal information to ensure that it's correct, and then clickSubmit.
- If you haven't set up two-step authentication for your account, clickSet up two-step authentication.
- Optional: Add your virtual business card number to your mobile wallet. If you want to skip this step, then clickSkip this task.
- ClickView card numbersto reveal your card's number, expiry date, and CVV.
- 添加your card information to your mobile wallet, and then clickNext task.
- Optional: Order a physical Shopify Credit business card. If you want to skip this step, then clickSkip this task.
- Enter your shipping information, and then clickNext step.
- ClickOrder physical card.
- ClickFinish setup.
Change a secondary cardholders monthly spending limit
The primary cardholder can change the monthly spend limit for a secondary cardholder at any time. If you change the monthly spend limit to an amount that's less than the secondary cardholders current months spend, then they aren't able to make any additional purchases that month.
If at any time the Shopify Credit account remaining available credit is less than the secondary cardholders available monthly spending limit, then the secondary cardholder can't spend more than the remaining available credit.

Steps:
- In your Shopify admin, go toFinances>Credit.
- ClickManage cards.
- In theCardholderssection, click the cardholder that you want to edit the monthly spending limit for.
- In theMonthly spending limitsection, clickEdit.
- Enter a value for the new monthly spending limit, and then clickSave.
Resend a secondary cardholder invitation
- In your Shopify admin, go toFinances>Credit.
- ClickManage cards.
- In theCardholderssection, click the staff member that you want to resend the invitation to.
- ClickResend invitation.
Remove a secondary cardholder
If youdeactivate a staff member's accountwho's a secondary cardholder with active cards, then that cardholders cards areautomatically lockedand can't be used. If youreactivate that staff member's account, then their cards are automatically unlocked and can be used again.
If youremove a staff member's accountfrom your store who's a secondary cardholder with active cards, then their cards are canceled and can't be used.
You can also remove a secondary cardholder without deactivating or removing their staff account.
Steps:
- In your Shopify admin, go toFinances>Credit.
- ClickManage cards.
- In theCardholderssection, click the cardholder that you want to remove.
- Click&hellip, and then click ClickRemove cardholder.
- ClickRemove cardholder.
