Viewing your product inventory on the Products page
You can view product inventory on theProducts页面,该页面显示一个combined inventory count for all the variants of each product.

Viewing your product inventory on the Inventory page
You can view the inventory counts for your product variants on theInventorypage. On theInventorypage, you can search variants, filter or sort by different criteria, change the sort order, and create, edit, and delete views. You can alsoadd tags to your productsto help with inventory management.
TheInventorypage displays yourinventory statesfor each of your products at a single location. You can change the location using the drop-down menu next to the location name.
Display, hide, reorder columns
To optimize each of your inventory views, you can display, hide, and reorder columns. For example, you can hide theOn handcolumn, in cases where you don't want to view theOn handinventory. You can reorder and hide any column, with the exception of theProductcolumn. TheProductcolumn is always displayed first in the table.
You can create a new view by clicking the+icon. In the dialog box, type aNameand then clickCreate view.您还可以创建新的视图或更新现有的views with filters. Click the search and filter icon, and then clickSaveorSave as.For a new view, type a name in theNamefield and clickSaveto save the view. Before or after you create a view with a filter, you can edit the columns. For example, you can create a view where the filter displays stock that has less than 10 units available and have only theProductandAvailablecolumns displayed.
Steps:
- From your Shopify admin, go toProducts>Inventory.
- Click the tab with the view you want to edit.
- Next to the view's name, click the down arrow, and then clickEdit columns.
- Click the eye icon to hide or display columns, or click and drag the columns to reorder them.
- ClickSave.
Rename a view
TheAllview can't be renamed.
Steps:
- From your Shopify admin, go toProducts>Inventory.
- Click the tab with the view you want to edit.
- Next to the view's name, click the down arrow, and then clickRename view.
- Type the new name in theNamefield of the dialog box.
- ClickSave.
Delete a view
Deleting a view can't be undone. If you delete a view accidentally, then you need to create a new view that matches the view you deleted.
TheAllview can't be deleted.
Steps:
- From your Shopify admin, go toProducts>Inventory.
- Click the tab with the view you want to edit.
- Next to the view's name, click the down arrow, and then clickDelete view.
- In the dialog box, clickDelete view.
Adjust On hand and Available inventory quantities
You can change the On Hand and Available quantity of products in the following ways:
- on theInventorypage
- for product with variants, on the product details page
- using thebulk editor
- using theinventory CSVfile
You can also use theinventory barcode scanneron a mobile device to add barcodes for your products.
If a product's inventory quantity is tracked using inventory apps, then its quantities will be allocated only to that app location. You canchange the locationsproducts are assigned to.
When you have multiple locations, a location filter appears in the Shopify admin on pages and sections where it applies, such as theOrderspage and theInventorypage. When you select a location in the filter, the page keeps your selection until you change it. The selected location for a page is stored in a browser cookie, so it isn’t maintained between devices or browsers.
Adjust inventory quantities
Adjust inventory quantities for products without variants
After the inventory amounts are updated, you can find a record of this adjustment, and adjustments up to 90 days old, by viewing the product or variant's inventory adjustment history.
From theAdjustment Historypage, you can also review adjustments that were made by third-party apps or by processes that occur automatically in Shopify.

Adjust inventory quantities for products with variants for a single location
Adjust Unavailable inventory quantities
You can change the Unavailable quantity of products in the following ways:
- add new inventory asUnavailable
- move inventory fromAvailabletoUnavailable
- move inventory fromUnavailabletoAvailable
- delete inventory fromUnavailable
Unavailableinventory can have the following states:
- Damaged: Inventory that's on hand, but is unavailable because it's damaged.
- Quality control: Inventory that's on hand, but needs to be checked for quality purposes before it's made available to sell.
- Safety stock: Inventory that's on hand, but is being intentionally held in reserve before it's made available to sell.
- Other: Inventory that's on hand, but isn't available for a reason that you have determined.
You can also use theinventory barcode scanneron a mobile device to add barcodes for your products.

Add new Unavailable inventory
- From the Shopify admin, clickProducts>Inventory.
- Click the Unavailable value for the variant that you want to edit.
- Click the value next toDamaged,Quality control,Safety stockorOtherthat you want to add inventory to.
- ClickAdd to inventory.
- Enter the quantity that you want to add to Unavailable. YourOn handinventory also increases by this amount.
- ClickSave.
Move inventory from Available to Unavailable
- From the Shopify admin, clickProducts>Inventory.
- Click the adjust icon in theAvailablecolumn for the variant that you want to edit.
- SelectMove to Unavailablefrom the drop-down menu.
- Enter the quantity that you want to move to Unavailable.
- Select a reason for moving inventory to Unavailable from the drop-down menu.
- ClickSave.
Move inventory from Unavailable to Available
- From the Shopify admin, clickProducts>Inventory.
- Click the Unavailable value for the variant that you want to edit.
- Click the value next toDamaged,Quality control,Safety stockorOtherthat you want to move inventory from.
- ClickMove to available.
- Enter the quantity that you want to move to Available.
- ClickSave.
Delete inventory from Unavailable
- From the Shopify admin, clickProducts>Inventory.
- Click the Unavailable value for the variant that you want to edit.
- Click the value next toDamaged,Quality control,Safety stockorOtherthat you want to delete inventory from.
- ClickDelete from inventory.
- Enter the quantity that you want to delete from Unavailable. YourOn handinventory also decreases by this amount.
- ClickSave.
