Shopify Payments on Facebook and Instagram by Meta
Checkout on Facebook and Instagram now usesShopify Payments. You can now manage orders, taxes, and payouts in your Shopify admin.
Orders that are placed through Facebook and Instagram by Meta are subject to theFacebook Purchase Protection program.
To use Checkout on Facebook and Instagram, you need to useShopify Payments, orShop Pay for third-party gateways.
Payments from orders placed using Checkout on Facebook and Instagram are managed in your Shopify admin.
Shopify Payments
Checkout on Facebook and Instagram is powered by Shopify Payments. UsingShopify Paymentslets you keep all of your payment processes in one place. Shopify Payments eliminates the hassle of setting up a third-party payment provider or merchant account and having to enter the credentials into Shopify.
If your store has Shopify Payments enabled, then you receive payments through Shopify Payouts when a customer pays using Checkout on Facebook and Instagram.

Shop Pay for third-party gateways
If you don't have Shopify Payments enabled and instead use a different payment provider, then you can enable Shop Pay for third-party gateways. Shop Pay for third-party gateways enables Shop Pay as anaccelerated checkoutfor your online store,Facebook, and Instagram.
If your online store is in the United States and meetsShopify Payments requirements, then you can enable Shop Pay for your third-party gateway.
When Shop Pay for third-party gateways is enabled in your store, you receive payments through Shopify Payouts when a customer pays using Checkout on Facebook and Instagram.

Order processing
When an order is placed on Facebook and Instagram, a hold is placed on the order and anon holdstatus displays next to the order in your Shopify admin. This hold allows for Facebook's payment authorization, and fraud analysis, and you can't fulfill the order until the hold is removed. The hold is typically removed within 5 minutes, but might be in place for up to 24 hours.
在30分钟,你的产品库存is updated to reflect the upcoming purchase. Updating the inventory prevents overselling. After a 30 minute grace period, the order status changes toUnfulfilledand you canfulfill the order. You need to fulfill the order before you can capture the payment for the order.
Adding tracking information is a requirement of using Facebook and Instagram by Meta. You can add tracking information to an order when you mark it as fulfilled. After you enter the tracking information and clickFulfill items, Facebook then reviews the purchase before capturing the payment.
After the payment is captured, the order status changes toFulfilled.
Discounts
Most discounts that are created in your Shopify admin and are made available to the Facebook sales channel automatically sync to Facebook. The following discounts don't sync with Facebook:
- Free Shipping discounts
- Discounts that have user targeting criteria.
When the discounts in your Shopify admin sync to Facebook, any promotions created in yourFacebook Commerce Managerare archived. You can visit theOfferstab in the Commerce Manager to display historical data about your promotions, and access promotion performance insights to help make merchandising decisions about discounts.
Products
Checkout on Facebook and Instagram doesn't support taxes being included in product prices. If youinclude taxes in product prices, then you need to uncheck this option in your Tax settings.
Products also need to be approved by Facebook, and can't be restricted products as outlined inFacebook's Commerce Policies.
Shipping
All of your shipping profiles and settings are synced to Facebook from your Shopify admin. Make sure that your shipping settings are up to date and accurate in your Shopify admin.
When the shipping settings in your Shopify admin sync to Facebook, any shipping profiles that you have created in your Facebook Commerce Manager are archived.
Payouts
You manage all of your payment information in your Shopify admin. Payouts for orders placed using Checkout on Facebook and Instagram are paid out through Shopify, and can be accessed in the Shopify admin.

PayPal
支持贝宝在Facebook和Instagram元lets you accept payments for orders placed using Checkout on Facebook and Instagram. PayPal allows payment through credit cards, bank accounts, buyer credit, or PayPal account balances.
If your store has PayPal enabled, and a customer pays using PayPal to checkout on Facebook and Instagram, then you receive those payments through PayPal.
