Add tracking numbers to orders
When you add a tracking number to an order, the customer's order status page displays real-time shipping updates from the carrier.

Add tracking numbers before you fulfill an order
If you have a tracking number before you fulfill an order, then you can add the number during the fulfillment process. The number is included in the shipping confirmation email that is sent to the customer.
Steps:
From your Shopify admin, go toOrders.
From theOrderspage, click an order number that has a fulfillment status ofPartially fulfilledorUnfulfilled.
In theUnfulfilledsection, clickFulfill item(s)to open the order’sFulfillmentpage.
In theTracking informationsection, enter your shipment'sTracking number.
Shopify might recognize the tracking number format and choose a shipping carrier for you. If it doesn't, or if it chooses incorrectly, then choose your shipping carrier from theShipping carrierdrop-down menu.
Optional: If you have more than one tracking number, clickAdd another tracking numberand then enter the tracking number.Important: All tracking numbers must be from the same carrier.
If your carrier isn't fully supported by Shopify, or if you selectOtherfrom theShipping carrierdrop-down menu, then you can enter theTracking URLmanually. This tracking number will appear on the order status page. Make sure that you enter the complete URL (including the digits) that your carrier provided to track the shipment.
ClickFulfill item(s).
From theShopify app, tapOrders.
Tap an order that has a fulfillment status ofUnfulfilledorPartially fulfilled.
In theUnfulfilledsection, tapFulfill item(s).
In theItemssection, enter the quantity of each item that you want to include in the fulfillment. By default, all the order's unfulfilled items are included in the fulfillment.
Enter a tracking number, or tap the barcode icon to scan a shipping label barcode with your iPhone.
Shopify might recognize the tracking number format and choose a shipping carrier for you. If it doesn't, or if it chooses incorrectly, then choose your shipping carrier from theShipping carrierdrop-down menu.
Optional: UncheckSend notification to customer.
TapFulfill item(s).
From theShopify app, tapOrders.
Tap an order that has a fulfillment status ofUnfulfilledorPartially fulfilled.
In theUnfulfilledsection, tapFULFILL ITEM(S).
In theItemssection, enter the quantity of each item that you want to include in the fulfillment. By default, all the order's unfulfilled items are included in the fulfillment.

Add tracking numbers after you fulfill an order
If you receive a tracking number after fulfilling an order, then you can add the number to the fulfillment. You can send the tracking number to your customer in a shipping notification email.
Steps:
From your Shopify admin, go toOrders.
Click the order number for the order you want to add a tracking number to.
In theFulfilledsection, clickAdd tracking.
In theEdit trackingdialog, enter your shipment's tracking number.
Shopify might recognize the tracking number format and choose a shipping carrier for you. If it doesn't, or if it chooses incorrectly, then choose your shipping carrier from theCarrierdrop-down menu.
Optional: If you have more than one tracking number, clickAdd another tracking numberand then enter the tracking number.Important:All tracking numbers must be from the same carrier.

The URL is used on the order status page to link to the carrier's tracking page. Make sure that you enter the complete URL (including the digits) that your carrier provided to track the shipment.
Optional: If you don't want to send a shipping update, then uncheckSend notification email to customer.
