Accept payments with Tap to Pay on iPhone
You can useTap to Pay on iPhoneto accept contactless credit cards or debit cards and all digital wallets without the need for payment hardware. To accept swipe or PIN payments, switch to another paired card reader.Tap to Pay on iPhonecomes included with every Shopify plan and transactions are subject to your in-person credit card rates from Shopify Payments.

Requirements
In order to useTap to Pay on iPhone, you need to meet the following requirements:
- your store is based in the United States
- your store's currency is set to USD
- you have Shopify Payments activated as your store's payment provider
- you have thePoint of Salechannel installed in your admin
- you use the Shopify POS app installed on your iPhone
- you use aniPhone XS or newerrunningiOS 16 or higher

Activate Tap to Pay on iPhone for Shopify POS
You must be the store owner to activateTap to Pay on iPhonefor your store.
To set upTap to Pay on iPhone第一次,你需要接受苹果的内涵ms of service with your Apple ID. The Apple ID should belong to you or your business. The Apple ID can be changed later.
After you have completed this first activation,Tap to Pay on iPhonewill be available to pair on any iPhone logged into Shopify POS under your store's account, at any of your locations.

In Shopify POS, tap≡>Settings>Set up hardware.
SelectTap to Pay on iPhoneand tapNext.
Verify the Apple ID and tapContinue with This Apple IDto use the Apple ID orUse a Different Apple IDto select a different Apple ID. Once you have entered your Apple ID, accept the terms of service.
TapDone.Tap to Pay on iPhoneis activated for your store and your iPhone is ready to accept payments.
Pair Tap to Pay on iPhone on additional devices
After your store has activatedTap to Pay on iPhone, additional iPhones logged in to your Shopify POS account may pairTap to Pay on iPhoneto accept payments without having to enter an Apple ID or accept terms of service.
Steps:
- From Shopify POS, tap≡>Settings>Set up hardware.
- SelectTap to Pay on iPhone, and then tapNext.
- TapDone.
Accept payments with Tap to Pay on iPhone
You can accept many types of contactless payment methods withTap to Pay on iPhone. For swipe or PIN payments, you need to have an additional card reader paired. Make sure you choose the correct card reader for your customer's payment method at checkout. UseTap to Pay on iPhonefor contactless payment and your card reader for payments that require contact.
Steps:
From theCartscreen, tapCheckout.
From theSelect payment optionscreen, tapTap to Pay on iPhone.
TheTap to Pay on iPhoneinterface will appear indicating where your customer should hold their tap-enabled credit/debit card or their mobile wallet on their smartphone or smartwatch.
Ask the customer to hold their contactless payment method over the tap area until the animation indicatted the payment has been completed and you hear theTap to Pay on iPhonesuccess sound.
Select whether toprovide the customer with a receipt, and then tapDoneto return to the Shopify POS products screen.
Unpair Tap to Pay on iPhone from your POS devices
To removeTap to Pay on iPhoneas an available card reader at checkout, you can unpair it. UnpairingTap to Pay on iPhonedoesn't deactivate it for the store.
Steps:
From Shopify POS, tap≡>Settings>Manage connected hardware.
TapTap to Pay on iPhone.
TapForget card reader.
Deactivate Tap to Pay on iPhone for your store
If you're a store owner, then you can deactivateTap to Pay on iPhoneon all devices for your store and locations. You can reactivateTap to Pay on iPhoneat any time. When you deactivateTap to Pay on iPhone, your Apple ID associated with your store isn't disconnected or changed.
- From Shopify POS, tap≡>Settings>Manage connected hardware.
- TapTap to Pay on iPhone.
- TapDeactivate all devices.
- TapDeactivate all devices.
When you deactivateTap to Pay on iPhonefor your store, all previously paired devices are unable to accept payments by usingTap to Pay on iPhone.
Disconnect Tap to Pay on iPhone or change your Apple ID
If you want to disconnectTap to Pay on iPhoneor change the Apple ID associated with your store, then you can refer to theTap to Pay on iPhonefrequently asked questions.
Changes made to the Apple Business Register can take up to 15 minutes to take effect. If you disconnect your store, then you can still process transactions ifTap to Pay on iPhonewas previously paired. However, after a store is disconnected, only the store owner can pair and connect toTap to Pay on iPhone.
