Display important information on the checkout page

On the checkout page, customers enter their shipping and payment information, and complete their purchase. Merchants who sell in Germany often display links to the following information on their checkout page:

• Imprint or legal notice
• Terms of service and refund policy
• Tax information, such as VAT
• Shipping policy

Add an imprint or a legal notice to your checkout page

Add terms of service and a refund policy confirmation to your checkout page

You can display a link to your terms of service and refund policy on your checkout page.

Steps:

1. From your Shopify admin, clickSettings.
2. ClickCheckout.
3. In theOrder processingsection, checkRequire a confirmation step.
4. ClickSave.
5. Go toSettings>Policies, and then enter text in theTerms of serviceandRefund policytext boxes.
6. ClickSave.
7. In your Shopify admin menu, click the eye icon next to欧宝体育官网入口首页to preview your online store.
8. Add a product to the cart and go to the checkout. If you see the terms of service and refund policy statement, then you're done. If you don't see the terms of service and refund policy statement, then continue to the next step.
9. Click欧宝体育官网入口首页.
10. Next to your current theme name, click the...button >Edit default theme content.
11. ClickCheckout & system.
12. In the search box, typereviewand press enter.
13. Under the headingCheckout & system / Checkout review, in theReview notice htmltext box, enter the following text:

By completing your order, you agree to our{{terms_of_service}}and{{refund_policy}}

1. ClickSave.
2. ClickChange theme language.
3. In theLanguagedrop-down menu, selectGermanand clickSave.
4. In the GermanReview notice htmltext box, enter the following text:

Add tax information to your checkout page

By default, the cost displayed to customers on the checkout order summary includes tax. If you want to display the exact amount of tax being paid, then follow these steps:

1. From yourShopify admin, click欧宝体育官网入口首页.
2. Next to your current theme name, click the...button >Edit default theme content.
3. In the search box, typeVat label html, and then press enter.

   

4. Under the headingCheckout & system / Checkout order summary, in theVat label htmltext box, enter the following text:

1. ClickSave.
2. ClickChange theme language.
3. In theLanguagedrop-down menu, selectGerman, and then clickSave.
4. In the GermanVat label htmltext box, enter the same text in German.

Add a shipping policy to your checkout page

If youadd your shipping policy in your Shopify admin, then a link to your shipping policy is automatically added to your checkout page.
