[MUSIC PLAYING] When preparing your marketing strategy for high sales season, there are three main goals that are super important. Driving traffic to your store, turning store visitors into buyers, reengaging past customers. Hi, I'm Rachel. And in this video, I'll share the Shopify tools that will help you achieve these goals. Goal 1, driving traffic to your store. Use the audience building tools within Shopify marketing to drive new visitors to your online store.
-
Let's start with Google. Hundreds of millions of people use Google every day to search for products. So you want to make sure your products show up there. The Google channel lets you both list your products for free on the shopping tab and boost them with paid smart shopping campaigns, which help get your products in front of shoppers across YouTube, Gmail, the Shopping tab, and Google Display Network.
-
Facebook and Instagram is another important place to have your products show up to relevant audiences. With Shopify's Facebook channel, you can easily create social posts, build audiences, and tag products on Instagram. Depending on who you're selling to, Pinterest, Snapchat, and Microsoft may be other channels to consider. Pinterest can turn your products into pins, putting them in front of the millions of Pinterest users for free.
-
You can also boost your discoverability and brand presence through paid ads. Snapchat lets you create brand awareness ads that'll show your products to their millions of daily users. And finally, Microsoft advertising campaigns lets you reach audiences that other major search engines can't reach. With the Microsoft search network, you can surface your ads across Bing, Yahoo, and AOL.
-
Goal 2, turn store visitors into buyers. Just because someone goes to your store once doesn't mean they will automatically buy. It can take an average of seven interactions with your brand before they make a purchase. But we've got four great tools to help you turn browsers into buyers. First is retargeting ads. You can bring potential buyers back to your online store.
-
Facebook, Google, Snapchat, and Microsoft all offer retargeting ads that you can create directly in Shopify. Next is Shopify email. One of the best ways to tell your story and build trust with potential buyers is through email marketing. First, you'll want to make sure you're capturing visitor emails. Then you can use Shopify email and predesigned branded templates to do things like schedule emails to a certain audience and promote your upcoming big sale.
-
The third tool is Shopify Ping. When people are browsing the products in your online store, they'll likely have questions. So having a live chat option is a great way to make sure you can quickly answer their questions and turn high interest browsers into buyers. And lastly, set up multichannel marketing campaigns in just a few clicks with campaign templates. Campaign templates provide recommended marketing channels, prefilled content, and even schedule the marketing activities for you.
-
Saving you time and making it easier for you to achieve your goals this season. Now, goal three, reengaging past customers. It can be anywhere between five to 25 times more expensive to get new customers to purchase than to get your existing customers to buy again. When reengaging existing customers, try to think of ways to provide them with value and something that's unique and not offer to all customers.
-
A couple of starting points are-- offer exclusive discounts, give them early access to upcoming products, offer free gift with any purchase or just as a thank you. By providing these incentives to your past customers, you're able to build customer loyalty and turn these sales interactions into a potentially long-lasting customer relationship. Understanding your marketing goals can make it easier for you to find the tactics and channels that are right for your store and can definitely help you stand out during busy selling seasons.
