Shopify Introduces Selling on Twitter with Buy Now

OTTAWA, ONTARIO— September 30, 2015 –Shopify Inc. (“Shopify”) (NYSE: SHOP, TSX: SH), a leading cloud-based, multichannel commerce platform, today launched a partnership with Twitter to allow Shopify merchants to sell products directly on Twitter. Twitter’s “Buy Now” buttons will be available to U.S.-based Shopify merchants, at no additional cost, making it easier for them to get their products into their followers' hands.

“Many of our 175,000+ merchants already use Twitter to engage with their audience and now they can sell directly to them in real-time, ” said Satish Kanwar, Director of Product, Shopify. “Today’s partnership means Shopify merchants are now among the first to use buy buttons on Facebook, Pinterest and Twitter.”
